For question 1, I mistakenly chose the chemical potential that was the lowest, not the highest.
Also, for question 12, the hydrogens on each benzoic acid are missing.

For question 4a on HW 1 we are asked to calculate the partial pressures of A and B in the gas phase. In the solutions, did you calculate them for the liquid phases instead? Should the first part of the solution for 4b be the solution for 4a?
Hmm, not sure I understand the question. For a given component, say A, there is only one partial pressure. Are you confusing X and Y with P?
Also, the answer to your second question is yes, the X of 9.5a becomes the Y of 9.5b.
