I'm looking at the schedule and am thinking about moving quiz 2 from October 12 [Friday] to October 15 [Monday]. Would that be met with approval, annoyance or the same grey ambivalence you have towards this blog?
The reason I first considered moving it is to accommodate the eight or so students going to the ACS meeting. On top of that I thought maybe you'd like a little bit more time to study for it.
My past practice when giving a quiz just a few days before the exam is to have a key available right after the quiz is taken. It is likely, but not promised, that the graded quizzes would be available on Tuesday, the next day.
But since I'm potentially moving something already scheduled, I will only do so if a majority of the class wants that. Otherwise, it will stay on Friday.

Approval. Monday would be better.
Gray ambivalence? Wow, that's harsh.
Switching to Monday would be a good move because a few of us are going to be in San Diego that Friday for the ACS meeting.
I would prefer to have it on Friday so that there is adequate time to get the results of the quiz and go over them before the first exam.
yes, please move the quiz!
Move it to Monday because it would be a good review before the exam

I'm amenable...but seeing how there is the ACS meeting, it might be nice to change it to Monday.
